ArtMattan Productions (annual & special programs):
Producers and presenters of films relating to the African Diaspora,
ArtMattan productions is a co-presenter of our annual Caribbean
Diaspora Film series (in August) and the Best of African Diaspora
Film Festival (in February).

BAM Local Development Corporation
The BAM LDC is an independent, nonprofit organization whose
mission is to create a vibrant, mixed-use multicultural arts
district in Downtown Brooklyn.
Bedford
Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation (Restoration)
Since
1997, BAM has conducted a groundbreaking collaborative five-month
educational project with Restoration. This highly successful
program aims to foster a greater interest in the arts and the
opportunity for students to participate in a professional program
encompassing the performing arts, visual, and literary arts,
including the cultural history of countries in Africa and the
African Diaspora. The program, which includes more than 200
students from elementary, middle, and high school, features
the 30-member BAM/Restoration DanceAfrica Ensemble. Restoration
also performs in the four

performances on the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House

Cinema Café
A
monthly program featuring the best new films focusing on the
African-American experience. Black Cinema Café gives the community
a chance to meet and mingle with filmmakers and producers.

Jewish Film Festival

The world-renowned Mark Morris Dance Group marks its nineteenth

SONYA (South of the Navy Yard Artists)
SONYA is a non-profit organization that enlivens the
art community by creating an infrastructure for Brooklyn artists.
Together with SONYA and Danny Simmons, BAM presented a month-long
SONYA Group Show. In addition BAM also participates in the SONYA
Studio Stroll.
