Martha Wainwright is a singer-songwriter with a hugely expressive and versatile voice and an arsenal of powerful songs. Born in New York and raised in Montreal, she is the daughter of folk legends Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle and the sister of acclaimed singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright. She was immersed in music throughout her childhood and often performed with her parents. Throughout her career, Wainwright has contributed to albums by Dan Bern, Rufus Wainwright, Snow Patrol, and Teddy Thompson, among others, and has performed live with Cyndi Lauper, Van Morrison, Neko Case, Snow Patrol, Pete Townshend, and Sean Lennon. She has released two studio albums as well as several EPs and live recordings. Her third studio album, Come Home To Mama, was released this fall and features production by Yuka C. Honda.
