Led by Artistic Director Michele Wiles, BalletNext returns to the BAM Fisher for this benefit performance featuring two popular works: BachGround, a provocative and physical work for six dancers by Italian choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti set to solo piano by J.S. Bach., and Surmisable Units, by resident choreographer Brian Reeder, performed to Steve Reich’s “Piano Phase,” a minimalist piece for two pianos by one pianist.
Proceeds from this benefit evening will support BalletNext and The Bedford Stuyvesant Y’s ongoing partnership for youth arts education.
