BAM invites friends and family to a special “dress rehearsal” event for the new BAM Fisher, which officially opens in September. The evening will feature vocalist and composer Samita Sinha, whose sound draws on North Indian classical music, folk songs, and ritual music employing both electronic and traditional acoustic instruments. For her project Asterisms, Sinha is joined by vocalist Julia Ulehla, percussionist Dave Sharma, and guitarist Aram Bajakian, performing in various combinations using loop pedal, tabla machine, and other electronics.
