Shakespeare Teaches Students

Schools Only
Feb 1—May 31, 2015

Shakespeare’s language is brought to dazzling life through interactive games and discussion.

In this series of classroom workshops dedicated to in-depth scene and character study, students rehearse and perform their own Shakespeare scenes. By assuming the roles of
actor, director, and designer, students engage with the Bard’s language in a new, exciting way, making connections between their own lives and the play’s characters, events, and literary techniques. This program culminates in a student share.

Space is limited and priority is given to teachers who also take advantage of our Shakespeare Teaches Teachers professional development program.

There is a minimum of 2 classes per school required to participate in the program.

Application deadline: Jan 9, 2015

Twelve 45-min in-school workshops.

Fee: $25 per student
