Students learn about Africa and its diaspora through dance and music.


Students gain literacy in African dance and music in this unique program. This year, focus is placed on the dance, music, oral histories, geography, and culture of Madagascar, the home nation of DanceAfrica 2014’s visiting company. Program participants witness their knowledge in action at a school-time DanceAfrica performance on May 21 or 22.

Special needs classes are encouraged to apply. Space is limited.

Twelve 45min workshops with 12-30 students per class.

Appropriate for Grades 3—12.

$32 per student
