For its inaugural year, the PDP focuses on dance, welcoming 14 companies to BAM along with 11 DeVos Institute Performers In Transition fellows—individual dancers interested in making a transition to arts administration. The program will culminate with six of the Brooklyn based companies, selected by an independent panel, presenting a self-funded production at the BAM Fisher in the spring/summer of 2013.
