In addition to its arts-in-education programs, live productions of dance, music, theater, and opera, and daily film screenings, BAM has several long-standing programs and services for students, seniors, neighborhood residents, artists, and organizations.

Annual Tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr.
New York City's largest annual tribute celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. King. Past guests have included U.S. Congressman John Lewis, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Kofi Annan, Russell Simmons, Wynton Marsalis, The Boys Choir of Harlem, Myrlie Evers-Williams, Angélique Kidjo, and Donnie McClurkin.

DanceAfrica Bazaar
As part of the annual DanceAfrica Festival, more than 250 vendors transform the streets adjacent to BAM into a colorful global marketplace offering African, Caribbean, and African-American food, crafts, and fashion.

Ticket Assistance Program (TAP)
TAP provides organizations serving underserved families and at-risk youth free and discounted tickets to BAM events. TAP brings thousands of people annually from community organizations to BAM events such as DanceAfrica, the BAMkids Film Festival, and many other presentations.
