Running time: Approx 120min with intermission

Brooklyn Next celebrates the innovation and diversity of the music coming out of
the borough with two weekends packed with shows all over Brooklyn. At BAM,
Soulive, Citizen Cope, and The National take center stage, while emerging indierock,
hip-hop, jazz, Afrobeat, and experimental artists from Bed-Stuy to Brighton
Beach take over BAMcafé and clubs around the borough.
The second evening of Brooklyn Next features Citizen Cope, an artist who cut
his teeth DJ-ing with cult hip-hop heroes Basehead, and whose vocal delivery
works insanely punchy rhymes into bluesy, southern reveries and up-tempo,
urban tableaux.
