Between the Lines: Emerging Voices in American Literature and Film

Presented in Partnership with A Public Space

Between the Lines is a new three-part series pairing dynamic writers with innovative filmmakers for evenings of collaboration and experimentation.

The series concludes as Diana George (Disciplines) closely reads the act of reading. Ander Monson (Neck Deep) looks askew at technology's imprint, and Sharifa Rhodes-Pitts (Harlem Is Nowhere) brings an unflinching eye to the crossroads of race and place.

Alongside them, Stephen G. Rhodes maps the grey space between personal history, collective memory, and fiction in a video work of sprawling imagination, while choreographic team robbinschilds and visual artist A.L. Steiner transform California's natural and urban landscapes into a stage for dynamic movement.
