3 Black Tales By Roy William Neill

Most famous for bringing Sherlock Holmes to the screen 11 times in a series of Universal Studios pictures starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce, Roy William Neill directed 107 films and was one of the first to craft the shadow-dappled crime films that would later be called film noir. This trio includes his final movie, one of the most important entries in that genre, Black Angel.
