Peter Sellers returns as Inspector Clouseau for the second chapter of Blake Edwards’ Pink Panther series, this time stumbling through a string of murders on the grounds of a French manor. When a chauffeur turns up dead the obvious suspect is his former lover, Maria the maid (Sommer). Clouseau’s heart and intuition both tell him she’s innocent, but his attempts to prove it lead to increased danger for everyone involved.
