Continuing the celebration of Charles Dickens’ 200th birthday, BAM Education screens Carol Reed’s (The Fallen Idol, The Third Man) celebrated adaptation of Oliver Twist. This immortal story of the orphan who had the audacity to ask for more was described by Roger Ebert as being “as well-made as a film can be,” earning six Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.
