“I see your schwartz is as big as mine!” Wielding his usual vaudevillian mix of one-liners and sight gags, Brooks lampoons every sci-fi he can get his hands on in this VHS cult classic now celebrating its 25th anniversary. Dashing mercenary Lone Starr (Bill Pullman at his languid best) and his half-man, half-dog (mog) sidekick Barf (John Candy) are contracted to rescue Princess Vespa (Zuniga) from the clutches of Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis in a hilariously ginormous headpiece), while Lone Starr learns the ways of the schwartz from the old, wise (and very short) Yogurt. Featuring Dom DeLuise as the sinister sauce-and-cheese-faced mafioso Pizza the Hutt, Joan Rivers as the robot Dot Matrix, and a memorable cameo by John Hurt as he reprises his notorious case of indigestion.
