Directed by William Friedkin | 1978

With Peter Falk, Peter Boyle, Allen Garfield, Warren Oates, Gena Rowlands

"Two hours of inventive, colorfully imagined enetertainment."
—Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

Friedkin is at his most playful in this tongue-in-cheek caper based on a true story. In 1950s Boston, petty hood Tony Pino (Falk) is surprised to discover just how easy it is to break into the headquarters of security company Brink’s. After recruiting a gang of amateur criminals (played by a remarkable rogues gallery of character actors), he endeavors to pull off one of the largest heists in US history—rendered by Friedkin with absorbing detail.
