The son of legendary big band leader and arranger Chico O'Farrill, Grammy winner Arturo O'Farrill honed his skills playing piano with Carla Bley, Wynton Marsalis, Dizzy Gillespie, and other luminaries before taking over his father's big band in the 90s. Called a "magnificent player" by The New York Times, he now heads the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, a wonder of rhythmic and brass precision at the very top of New York's Afro-Latin scene.
