The blues traditions of Africa and the Delta merge in this collaboration between acclaimed Cajun music revivalist Cedric Watson and Malian folk music master Sidi Touré. Switching expertly between fiddle and accordion, three-time Grammy nominee Watson breathes new life into Creole blues with his energetic live performances, while Touré channels the ancient, rhythmically exciting tradition of Songhaï folk music with his acoustic guitar and powerful voice. Their pairing opens up an intercontinental dialogue between two art forms that are both utterly unique and inextricably linked.
