An Evening of Music with Rufus and Martha Wainwright featuring Special Guests
Join Rufus Wainwright and Martha Wainwright, together with Norah Jones, Emmylou Harris, Mark Ronson, Jane McGarrigle, and Lily Lanken, for a benefit concert celebrating the rich career of their late mother, the inimitable folk singer-songwriter Kate McGarrigle. Held in conjunction with the release of a double-CD tribute album Sing Me The Songs (Nonesuch) and featuring performances of McGarrigle’s deeply personal music, songs by Rufus and Martha, French songs, and more, the evening pays moving tribute to McGarrigle while showcasing the musical legacy she helped to create. Proceeds from the evening benefit the Kate McGarrigle Foundation.
