With Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch and the Pina Bausch Foundation

As part of BAM's 150th anniversary celebrations, iconic artists examine the evolution of their work at BAM over the years, referencing onscreen projections of original performance footage and images from the BAM Hamm Archives.

Since its premiere in 1984, Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch has made BAM its exclusive New York home. This Iconic Artist Talk introduces New York audiences to the work of the Pina Bausch Foundation and its archive project. Members of Tanztheater Wuppertal and the Pina Bausch Foundation discuss the challenge of using archival materials to reconstruct performances and give new life to Bausch's oeuvre after her passing in 2009.
