In conjunction with A Man of Good Hope

With Dinaw Mengestu and Jonny Steinberg
Moderated by Roya Hakakian
Co-presented by BAM and PEN America

In conjunction with A Man of Good Hope, BAM and PEN America bring together writers from around the world to address the many refugee crises facing the world today. South African author Jonny Steinberg (whose book was adapted for Isango Ensemble’s production) joins Ethiopian-American novelist and writer Dinaw Mengestu for a conversation moderated by Iranian-American writer Roya Hakakian. The three will discuss the role of literature in representing both the brutal realities and human dimensions of these massive crises.
