BAMart Exhibitions and Events

Each year, BAMart presents a series of visual art exhibitions during both the fall and spring seasons at BAM. Established in 2002, Next Wave Art is a three-month exhibition concurrent with the Next Wave Festival. Organized by celebrated curator Dan Cameron, the exhibition's aim has been to showcase the work of emerging, Brooklyn-based artists. Past exhibitions have included artists such as Barbara Probst, Yuken Teruya, Wangechi Mutu, Chris Doyle, and Jean Shin.

During the spring season, BAMart presents rotating exhibitions, many of which parallel BAM shows. BAMart also features the work of a different artist each season on the cover of BAMbill. In addition, BAMart also hosts special events, such as opening receptions, talks, film and documentary screenings, and more.
