New York-based band Takka Takka has flourished over the last few years, touring with DIY indie sensation Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and landing a song on the soundtrack to Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. The band's meticulous sound references everything from African polyrhythms to Balinese gamelan, all set up beforehand by the “hip rock” of Israeli-born singer/guitarist Tamar Eisenman.
