In Movement and Motion—a series of aluminum and paper constructions and paintings—artist Jon Nathanson explores the physical qualities and organic flow of everyday materials, making a profound aesthetic gesture towards the balance, fluidity, and precision of dance.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Jon Nathanson studied architecture at The University of Maryland and Yale while also pursuing independent studies in visual art. A veteran and widely published leader in the design world, Nathanson currently works as a painter and sculptor from his studio in Chelsea.
