How will I find out where my private concert is happening?

Your private concert location is a surprise. Once the experience starts, a BAM host will take you from the welcome center in Building 77 to your performance site in the Navy Yard. You will not know which site you are going to ahead of time. If you have accessibility questions or concerns, please reach out to us at info@bam.org and we will ensure that your location is as accessible to you as possible.

Please note that some performance spaces are up to a 15 minute walk from the welcome center, and be prepared to walk to and from your performance site. This travel is a part of your ticketed experience and will begin at your ticketed time.

How early should I arrive for the show?

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your ticketed time.

Are the performance sites inside or outside?

The majority of performance locations are inside, although some performance spaces have an outdoor option that may be available. All performance sites adhere to protocols developed in accordance with New York State regulations and in consultation with medical professionals for the safety of our artists, audiences, and staff.

Unfortunately BAM cannot take requests for performance site preferences. All guests should be comfortable attending their 1:1 concert in an indoor space.

What happens in the event of inclement weather?

Performances will happen rain or shine.

Can I bring a friend?

All performances are designed as individual experiences between one musician and one audience member. Each guest needs to book their own private performance.

Can I bring my child?

This event is for people 18 and older.

Can I take photos or record the concert?

No. Photos and video recordings of the performances are strictly prohibited. We also ask guests not to use electronic devices once the experience has started, including on the walk from the welcome center to their performance site.

Will I know the musician or type of music in advance?

The musician performing for you is a surprise, and an openness to new discoveries and connections is a key part of the 1:1 concert experience.

What happens if I can no longer make the show or need to switch my requested time? Can I exchange my ticket?

Please contact us at info@BAM.org if you are no longer able to attend. If tickets are still available, you can make a reservation for a different time slot.

Can I transfer my ticket to a friend?

Yes.

I am in a household with a dual BAM membership, and we would both like to attend. Can we sign up for two slots at the same time?

Each individual will need to reserve a ticket to their own performance, but you are welcome to coordinate your tickets to be as close together as possible based on availability.

What ADA accommodations are available? Who do I contact to receive them?

A number of reservations are available for a fully ADA-compliant performance site. Reach out to us at info@bam.org to reserve one of these sites, or with any other accessibility questions or concerns. We will do our best to make this event as accessible to you as possible.

I am running late. Can I still make the performance?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the experience, we will not be able to accommodate latecomers.

How private will the performance be? Will there be pedestrians or other guests nearby?

All performance spaces are in secluded areas, with a BAM usher stationed outside to prevent any accidental entries.

What is BAM’s safety protocol?

Keeping our audience, staff, and artists safe is our top priority. The following health and safety measures are in place for all performances of 1:1 Concerts:
