Bryce Dessner

Bryce Dessner is a composer and a guitarist best known for his work in the New York City-based rock band The National. He has also received widespread acclaim as a composer and guitarist for the new-music quartet Clogs. He is the founder and artistic director of the annual Music Now Festival in Cincinnati, OH, and the co-founder of the artist-operated label Brassland. Dessner first appeared at BAM with The Long Count (2009 Next Wave Festival). In 2012, he and his brother Aaron founded and curated the inaugural music and film festival Crossing Brooklyn Ferry.
