John Heginbotham

Brooklyn-based choreographer, teacher, and performer John Heginbotham is the founding director of Dance Heginbotham. A graduate of the Juilliard School, Heginbotham has danced with Mark Morris Dance Group, Susan Marshall, John Jasperse, and Pam Tanowitz and as a guest with Pilobolus Dance Theatre. He is on the faculty of the Mark Morris Dance Center and Princeton University and was the 2012—13 choreographer in residence at Dartmouth College. His work has been presented at Baryshnikov Arts Center, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Carolina Performing Arts, Dance Theater Workshop, Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater, La MaMa Experimental Theater Club, and the Museum of Modern Art. Heginbotham is a two-time recipient (in 2010 and 2012) of the Jerome Robbins Foundation's New Essential Works Fellowship Grant.
