BAM Cinema Reopening FAQs

When is BAM Rose Cinemas reopening?

BAM Rose Cinemas is open and operating at 75% capacity.

Do I need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to attend?

Yes. As of August 16, BAM will require proof of Covid-19 vaccination for all visitors and staff, in compliance with New York City’s vaccine mandate for indoor entertainment. You will also be required to show a valid ID with your proof of vaccination.

What can I expect to be different about my experience at BAM Rose Cinemas?

When you arrive you’ll be greeted by a member of BAM’s security team and you’ll be required to have a temperature check and show proof of Covid-19 vaccination. We are operating at reduced capacity, which means there will be fewer people in the cinemas for every movie screening.

Can I attend movies at BAM with a group?

Yes. Seating is general admission and there are no restrictions on the number of people in your party.

Are you still offering concessions?


Are you requiring mask-wearing for all patrons?

Yes. You must wear a mask at all times in the BAM Rose Cinemas lobby. And we ask that you wear a mask inside the cinemas unless you are eating or drinking concessions.

What other health and safety measures are being taken by BAM?

In addition to requiring proof of Covid-19 vaccination, temperature checks, reduced capacity, mandatory mask-wearing, enhancing our cleaning protocols, and offering hand-sanitizer stations, we are also staggering showtimes to reduce the number of people in the lobby.

Will virtual film programming still be available after June 11?

At this time, we are not offering virtual film programming.
