Batsheva Dance Company
- 11AM
With Bobbi Smith
In conjunction with Sadeh21
For experienced and professional dancers
Dancers have an opportunity to become immersed in the movement style of Ohad Naharin’s Batsheva Dance Company. Company dancer Bobbi Smith teaches Gaga, the distinctive language pioneered by Naharin, in which greater comprehension and control of the body cultivates efficiency and texture of movement, explosive power, quickness, clarity of intention, and stamina. Afterwards, dancers learn sections from Batsheva’s repertory.
Co-presented by BAM and Mark Morris Dance Group

Ohad Naharin is one of the most original choreographic minds of our time—a pioneer whose dance movement language, Gaga, enables dancers to better their interpretation of Naharin's work and their dancing in general.

Ohad Naharin, the artistic director of Batsheva Dance Company, reflects on his company’s history at BAM, from its first appearance in 2002 with Naharin’s Virus to this season’s production of Sadeh21.
