Inside the Storm: An open workshop with the RSC

In conjunction with King Lear
Royal Shakespeare Company Assistant Director Anna Girvan leads this hands-on workshop in the acting mechanics of the famous storm scene from this season’s presentation of King Lear. Participants of all levels have the opportunity to observe Girvan and members of the company as they break down various performance elements of the scene, in the process offering insight into the creative process. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants are invited to step into the action and try out some of the techniques, experimenting with vocal and physical exercises.
