Artist Workshop: Peeping Tom
- 10AM
Mark Morris Dance Center
Co-presented by BAM and Mark Morris Dance Group
In conjunction with 32 rue Vandenbranden
With Hun-Mok Jung
Company member Hun-Mok Jung of Belgian collective Peeping Tom conducts a workshop for artists of all disciplines on the group’s distinct and multifaceted movement language. Straddling the borderline between theater and contemporary dance, the company’s practice operates within a universe in which the prevailing logic of time, space and atmosphere is questioned, always with a strong focus on the dark side of the individual and the community.
For this workshop, Jung offers participants a window into Peeping Tom’s creative process. Elements of contemporary dance, gymnastics, and breakdance are combined with improvisation exercises, where individual experiences and emotions are connected to movement and acting.

Belgian dance-theater collective Peeping Tom sets the scene for this hilariously unpredictable, relentlessly clever, Olivier Award-winning work performed to everything from Bach to K-pop.
