A.D. & Colored
Kyle Marshall Choreography
BAM DEBUT
Kyle Marshall, the Bessie Award-winning choreographer and member of Trisha Brown Dance Company, celebrates variations of blackness in Colored. Featuring Marshall himself alongside Oluwadamilare Ayorinde and Myssi Robinson, the piece reflects upon each of their varied backgrounds as black artists who work primarily within white spaces.
The evening also features the world premiere of A.D., a new work that reflects on Christianity’s influence on the body.
