The renowned Mariinsky Theatre—the jewel of St. Petersburg and a standard-setting titan on the world stage—returns for year two of its BAM residency, celebrating a pair of 20th-century icons with help from Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Orchestra. A selection of renowned soloists perform all five fiery piano concertos by Sergei Prokofiev.
