Eat, Drink & Be Literary 2021
Eat, Drink & Be Literary brings major contemporary authors to BAM's virtual stage for intimate readings and engaging discussions.
Presented in Partnership with the National Book Foundation
This unique series for readers, writers, and diners is now adapted for the digital space, giving book-lovers everywhere a chance to engage with world-renowned authors while raising a glass in the comfort of home. We invite back the incredible writers whose events were postponed last year for an evening of intimate discourse and reflection, presented in partnership with the National Book Foundation. Authors read from their work and discuss their inspiration, process, and views with an insightful moderator before opening up for a conversation with the audience.
Past authors have included E. L. Doctorow, Zadie Smith, Chinua Achebe, Jonathan Safran Foer, Lorrie Moore, Walter Mosley, Jonathan Lethem, Maggie Nelson, Nicole Krauss, Claudia Rankine, Jhumpa Lahiri, Robert A. Caro, and many others.
