Study Guide

Salt of the Earth

The Story | Characters | Artists | Art Forms | Enrichment Activities

Thanks for choosing BAM Education for your students. We hope as you prepare for your experience at BAM that this online study guide will enrich your classroom study of the performance or film with your students.

Arts experiences resonate most strongly for students when themes and ideas from the performance or film can be aligned with your current curriculum. This online guide has been created to provide you with a wealth of background information to help you more deeply engage your students in what they will experience at BAM.

Click the red links above to learn more about the story of the production, the artists who created the work, or the art forms that are used in the work.

The Enrichment Activities link will provide you with step-by-step classroom activities linked to the Common Core Standards that you can implement before or after your visit. Look for alignment to Common Core Standards listed in bold and NYC Department of Education’s Blueprints for the Arts listed in italics.
