School-Time Performance: TEKNOPOLIS 2017
Curated by BAM Education
CURRICULUM CONNECTIONS: Art (performance art, installation), Computer Science (programming, design), Math (vectors, shapes)
Algorithms ignite and formulas are felt in this stellar showcase of interactive technology. BAM’s first-ever tech takeover features 2 floors of exhibits by international digital artists and technologists, all of them building innovative bridges between the arts and technology. Students will wander three-dimensional lightboxes, manipulate digital art through touch and movement, and witness show-stopping volumetric light displays made entirely of string through installations by artists Adrien M/Claire B (Hakanaï, 2015) and more.
Capacity for Teknopolis is limited to 30 participants at a time.
Support for Teknopolis 2017 provided by The SHS Foundation
