Have you seen a BAM school-time performance or participated in a BAM Education program? Two-year, four-year, and graduate student scholarships are awarded each year to students who have participated in BAM Education programs and are now pursuing higher education in the fields of performance, presentation, or arts administration.
This scholarship was established to honor the memory of former BAM trustee Samuel Scripps, a spirited world traveler and a generous patron of the arts whose life was dedicated to supporting theater and dance.
All students who have participated in BAM’s In-School Residencies, School-Time Performances, Virtual Programs, or free After-School Programs are eligible to apply for a Scripps Scholarship.
Who is eligible to apply?
Applicants must:
● have completed or attended at least one BAM Education program between kindergarten and 12th grade.
● currently be a high school senior, undergraduate student (associate or bachelor’s degree candidate), or graduate student (master’s or doctoral degree candidate).
● be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited institution for the fall 2023 semester (as determined by the institution).
● be pursuing, or intend to pursue, a major or concentrate in the arts, including all performing arts disciplines, art administration, and production. No exceptions will be made.

April 21, 2023
What is the program timeline?
● Application opens: January 3, 2023
● Application deadline: April 14, 2023
● Recommendation deadline: April 21, 2023
● Notification of selection results: May 2023
● Funds disbursed: August 2023
