BAMkids Family Day Safety Measures Frequently Asked Questions

What are the COVID protocols required for BAM staff and artists at the event?

All attending BAM staff and artists will have provided a negative COVID-19 test result no less than 72 hours prior to the event, as well as a negative rapid-antigen test result the day-of the event. All BAM staff and artists will be masked the entire event.

What are the COVID protocols required for family audiences at the event?

All attending family members who are vaccine eligible (above 12 years of age) who wish to enter the designated audience zone will need to provide proof of vaccination and personal ID to gain entrance to the audience zone. Anyone admitted to the audience zone will be required to wear a mask at all times. Audience members are encouraged to maintain social distancing from other audience members outside their family at all times.

What types of proof of vaccination will you accept at the event?

With a personal ID, provide one of the following:

CDC Vaccination Card. A photo or photocopy of this card is also acceptable.

NYC Vaccination Record or other official immunization record from within or outside the U.S., including from your healthcare provider. A photo or photocopy of this card is also acceptable. If you are unable to get this record, call 311.

NYC COVID Safe App: Android|iOS. You can upload to this app a photo of your CDC vaccination card or other official record, along with your photo ID.

Excelsior Pass (or Excelsior Pass Plus). To use this app, you will need the phone number or email address associated with your NYC vaccination record. If you are unable to use this app, try one of the other options listed above.

If I’m vaccine eligible and haven’t been vaccinated, can I still attend?

You are still able to attend the event but will need to enjoy the event from outside the designated audience zone.

Is food and/or drink allowed at the event?

Food and/or drinks are not to be consumed in the designated audience zone.

Do you provide a stroller/scooter check?

Strollers/scooters are permitted in the audience zone but need to be parked to the left or right side of the audience zone in an area designated by BAM. Strollers/scooters are left in this area at your own risk.

Can I exit the designated audience zone at any time?

Yes, after you provide proof of vaccination upon first entering the designated audience zone, you will be provided with a wristband that will allow you to enter and exit the area at will.

Where are the bathrooms located?

The nearest public bathroom is located in the Whole Foods on the lower level inside 300 Ashland Plaza.
