With Bob Hope

The titular racetrack bookie (Hope) has until Christmas Eve to cough up the $10,000 he owes a Florida gangster…or else. Heading to New York City, he cooks up a little scam getting street corner Santas to collect for a fake nursing home charity, along the way donning spinster drag, learning the true meaning of Christmas, and introducing the now-Yuletide-classic “Silver Bells.” Partially directed by an uncredited Frank Tashlin.
