“Organic…exciting. You can’t help but be captured by her writing.”
—David Dye, NPR’s World Cafe

Raspy-voiced chanteuse Kim Taylor creates hushed, emotionally resonant songs with little more than her distinctive voice and minimalist acoustic accompaniment. She will perform a cozy evening of soulful, country-tinged ballads at BAMcafé in conjunction with the BAMcinemaFest screening of the new film I Used to Be Darker, in which she stars. Taylor recently toured with the likes of Ron Sexsmith and her music has been featured on television hits like Smallville.
