Directed by Fritz Lang | 1952

With Marlene Dietrich, Arthur Kennedy, Mel Ferrer, Gloria Henry, William Frawley

“Dietrich is as sultry and alluring as ever… a dazzling recreation of the oldtime saloon mistress”
—Variety

Lang’s final Western presents Kennedy as a man bent on avenging the murder of his fiancée. But Kennedy spends so much time with Marlene Dietrich and her band of outlaws that eventually he’s no different than the men he seeks to kill. Much of the film is spent building up the tension, while Dietrich shows off in her role, a jaded reprise of her part in 1939’s Destry Rides Again.
