Directed by Lenny Abrahamson | 2014

With Michael Fassbender, Domhnall Gleeson, Maggie Gyllenhaal

“Helmer Lenny Abrahamson puts the pic’s eccentricity to good use, luring in skeptics with jokey surrealism and delivering them to a profoundly moving place.”
—Variety

In this wondrously strange black comedy loosely based on the curious case of English musician Chris Sievey (aka Frank Sidebottom), a goofy rock star wannabe (Gleeson) joins a bizarre musical project headed by Frank (Fassbender), an enigmatic, possibly unhinged frontman who dons an oversized papier-mâché head that he never removes. Encased in an expressionless dome, Fassbender manages to pull off a remarkable tour-de-force performance.
