Directed by Rebecca Zlotowski | 2013

With Léa Seydoux, Tahar Rahim, Denis Ménochet, Olivier Gourmet, Johan Libéreau

“Grand Central makes a great show of its blue-collar pedigree and wanton, boozy antics. The film has tobacco on its breath and sweat-rings at its armpits…”
—The Guardian

Léa Seydoux stars in Rebecca Zlotowski’s (Belle Epine) second feature about a volatile romance at a nuclear power plant. Karole, the fiancée of longtime nuclear power plant employee Toni (Denis Ménochet), one of the many underpaid workers who brave the risks of radiation poisoning every day, meets and falls rapturously in love with Gary (A Prophet’s Tahar Rahim), a poor, unskilled laborer looking for easy money and a place to fit in. But soon their moonlit trysts amid the bucolic countryside pose a growing threat to the staff's tight-knit bonds. Set to a pulsating electronic soundtrack, Zlotowski’s intense, brilliantly acted film juxtaposes the everyday routines of the workers with the swooning passions of the love triangle at the film’s heart, as her characters gamble ever more perilously in work and love.
