This illuminating documentary follows the renowned large-scale installation artist Leo Villareal—whose mesmerizing LED installation Stars can be seen in the arched windows of BAM’s Peter Jay Sharp building—as he embarks on his most ambitious project to date: a monumental work comprising over 25,000 LED lights strung along San Francisco’s Bay Bridge. An ambitious eight-million-dollar undertaking, Impossible Light reveals the incredible behind-the-scenes story of how this awe-inspiring dream project became a reality.
