Directed by Emmanuelle Bercot | 2014

With Catherine Deneuve, Nemo Schiffman, Gérard Garouste, Claude Gensac

Catherine Deneuve plays against type in Emmanuelle Bercot’s fourth feature as Bettie, a beauty queen turned bistro owner. When her mother (Claude Gensac) tells her that her married lover has ditched her for a 25-year-old beautician’s assistant, Bettie takes to the road with no particular destination in mind and eventually winds up at a dive bar named Le Ranch, where an evening of drunken revelry sets the stage for much tomfoolery to come. Bettie’s resentful daughter Muriel (French pop musician Camille) then asks her mother to chauffeur her son Charly (Nemo Schiffman) to his grandfather’s, and the pair sets out on a trip that will ultimately lead Bettie to revisit her past even as she travels further away from it. A Cohen Media Group release.
