Directed by Jonathan Demme | 1984

Brian Lehrer—host of WNYC’s daily public affairs show, The Brian Lehrer Show— presents a 30th anniversary screening of the definitive Talking Heads concert movie, filmed over the course of three days at Hollywood’s historic Pantages Theatre. Featuring performances of “Psycho Killer,” “Take Me to the River,” “Girlfriend is Better,” and countless other hits by the legendary new wave group, director Jonathan Demme’s innovative documentary debut is “close to perfection” (Pauline Kael, The New Yorker). The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Lehrer and Demme in which they will discuss the legacy of one of the most seminal rock movies of all time.
