Directed by Wes Anderson | 2014

With Ralph Fiennes, F. Murray Abraham, Mathieu Amalric, Adrien Brody, Tony Revolori

"This is one of Anderson's funniest and most fanciful movies, but perversely enough it may also be his most serious, most tragic and most shadowed by history..."
—Salon

Through his intricately designed visuals and meticulous compositions, Wes Anderson’s eighth feature film whisks viewers away to the fictional Central European nation of Zubrowka in 1932, where Gustave H (Fiennes), a concierge at a famous hotel, finds a trusted confidant in an orphaned lobby boy named Zero Moustafa (Revolori). Set at the beginning of World War II, the story follows these unlikely friends as they become embroiled in the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune. Featuring a vibrant score by Alexandre Desplat, this star-studded  comedy captures a precarious moment in European history with charm, irony, and Anderson’s trademark visual inventiveness.
