Directed by John Carpenter | 1982

With Kurt Russell, Wilford Brimley, Keith David

“If it’s the most vividly gruesome monster ever to stalk the screen that audiences crave, then The Thing is the thing.”
—Variety

When a team of scientists stationed in Antarctica takes in a stray Husky, man’s best friend turns out to be an alien capable of inhabiting the bodies of animals… or humans. In this nightmarish revision of Hawks’ sci-fi thriller The Thing from Another World, Carpenter upped the ante—throwing in explosive FX, piling on the gore, and showcasing unforgettable creature effects by Rob Bottin.

Preceded by La Foret Sauvage, directed by Joseph Wallace.
