Directed by Victor Nuñez | 1984

With Ed Harris, Blair Brown, Richard Jordan

A small-town Florida newspaper reporter (Harris) is caught between a crooked land developer (Jordan) and the crusading conservationist (Brown) he loves. This lost gem of regional independent filmmaking—based on a novel by master crime writer John D. MacDonald—is both a taut ecological thriller and a complex character study driven by Ed Harris’ tour-de-force performance.
