Kids: 20th Anniversary
- 7PM
- 8PM
One of the most controversial movies of the 1990s, Kids follows teenage skaters Telly (Fitzpatrick) and Casper (Pierce) as they drift aimlessly through downtown Manhattan in the single-minded pursuit of sex and drugs. But all the while, the specter of AIDS hangs ominously in the background. Scripted by Harmony Korine, and featuring breakout performances by Chloë Sevigny and Rosario Dawson, Larry Clark’s startlingly raw, vérité portrait of urban adolescence was hailed by The New York Times as “a wake-up call to the world.” Twenty years later, it has lost none of its impact.
