Directed by Jafar Panahi | 2015
"Subtle, humorous and humane. It tells you more about modern Iran, I think, than you’ll discover on the news."
—The Guardian

Winner of the Golden Bear for Best Film at Berlin Film Festival
Official Selection 2015 Telluride Film Festival
Official Selection 2015 Toronto Film Festival

In his third feature after being banned from making films and put under house arrest, internationally acclaimed Iranian auteur Jafar Panahi (This is Not a Film, Offside) drives a yellow cab through the vibrant streets of Tehran, picking up a diverse group of passengers over the course of a single day. Placed on the car’s dashboard, Panahi’s watchful camera captures its subjects—from a schoolteacher to a university student to a married couple—as they offer candid insights into their worldviews, resulting in a vibrant slice of Iranian society that has been hailed by Darren Aronofsky as "a love letter to cinema."
